The Peony

This large peony was created for a mother (43 yrs old) having to prepare herself for the end of this life. The art therapists told me that her dad loved gardening and grew peonies in his garden in Japan, so I worked to surprise her with this beauty. While we all hope for a miracle, may this be a grand gesture of love. I hope she leaves feeling completely treasured. She was and is so very loved by many at the City of Hope and in this life.
